The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) is the largest multi-arts festival in North America, with more than 200 companies from all over the world performing for 16 days in more than 20 venues – that's a total of more than 1300 performances! FringeNYC generates an atmosphere of extreme excitement, and our energy is contagious!

The International Brecht Society Homepage is maintained as a service to scholars, critics, students, and theater people round the world who are interested in the works and thought of Brecht. Readers of the IBS website are encouraged to send announcements and information for posting.

The NACL Mission is threefold:

1.To create and perform original theatre that is process oriented, actor-generated, corporeal, and director-devised in Sullivan County, NYC, and in national and international venues

2.To practice and teach NACL's ongoing performer training in rehearsals and in laboratory and educational environments, developing and documenting research in the field

3.To maintain a theatre work center and artists' residence at NACL for exchange between local and international theatre creators, scholars, and local audience communities. The NACL Catskill Festival of New Theatre advances the development and life force of the independent theatre community from within and without through audience education and artistic exchange.

The New York Theatre Workshop a workshop where artists create new work, hone their craft and collaboratively explore theatre. NYTW is committed to the development of innovative theatre by supporting theatre artists at all stages of their careers, providing an environment where work can be created free from the artistic compromise and forbidding financial demands often associated with commercial ventures.

Reverend Billy and the Stop Shopping Gospel Choir believe that Consumerism is overwhelming our lives. The corporations want us to have experiences only through their products. Our neighborhoods, "commons" places like stoops and parks and streets and libraries, are disappearing into the corporatized world of big boxes and chain stores. But if we "back away from the product" - even a little bit, well then we Put The Odd Back In God! The supermodels fly away and we're left with our original sensuality. So we are singing and preaching for local economies and real - not mediated through products -- experience.

The Strike Anywhere Performance Ensemble was founded in 1997 in NYC by Artistic/Producing Director, Leese Walker. Its mission is to promote empathy, free-thinking and greater social awareness through provocative theatre and educational outreach. Its work is guided by the words of Bertolt Brecht, "Art is not a mirror held up to reality, but a hammer with which to shape it."
