The Blue Mountain Center is a working community of writers, artists, activists and musicians in the heart of Adirondacks, the largest state park in the continental US. Established creative and non-fiction writers, and artists not requiring exceptional facilities, are eligible applicants. Residents are chosen by an Admissions Committee of accomplished authors and artists.

Bread and Roses is the not-for-profit cultural arm of New York's Health and Human Service Union, 1199/SEIU. Its 220,000 predominantly Latina and African American women members are employed in all job categories in health care institutions throughout the metropolitan area, New Jersey and Florida.

Franklin Furnace's mission is to present, preserve, interpret, proselytize and advocate on behalf of avant-garde art, especially forms that may be vulnerable due to institutional neglect, their ephemeral nature, or politically unpopular content. Franklin Furnace is dedicated to serving artists by providing both physical and virtual venues for the presentation of time-based visual art, including but not limited to artists' books and periodicals, installation art, performance art, "live art on the Internet"; and to undertake other activities related to these purposes. Franklin Furnace is committed to serving emerging artists and their ideas; and to assuming an aggressive pedagogical stance with regard to the value of avant-garde art to cultural life.

freeDimensional engages in a particular style of networking that builds on existing resources in the art, media and entertainment sectors in order to engage and financially underwrite direct actions necessary to help culture workers-in-distress and use their stories to illustrate critical, contemporary issues. Art and creativity are often commodified without acknowledgment of the social issues they represent, and thus the relation between culture and society erodes. freeDimensional seeks to strengthen this relation by taking practical steps to ensure individual safety, raise awareness and instigate change.

Founded as a not-for-profit organization by artists in 1977, Harvestworks has helped a generation of artists create new works using technology.
Our mission is to support the creation and presentation of art works achieved through the use of new and evolving technologies.
Our goals are to create an environment where artists can make work inspired and achieved by electronic media; to create a responsive public context for the appreciation of new work by presenting and disseminating the finished works; to advance the art community's and the public's "agenda" for the use of technology in art; and to bring together innovative practitioners from all branches of the arts collaborating in the use of electronic media. We assist with commissions and residencies, production services, education and information programs, and the presentation and distribution of their work.

Mahina taken from the Tongan word, Moon and from the Spanish word, ImagÌne, Mahina Movement (Gabriella Callender, Erica DeLaRosa and vaimoana litia makakaufaki niumeitolu) is a trinity who hail from Hollis, Queens, New York; San Antonio,Texas and Provo/Orem, Utah of North America. Their Cultures (African American, Chicana, Tongan) and communities inspire them to create songs, (music that fuses folk, blues and Hip Hop) poems, dances and/or movement and paintings (sometimes live!) to raise awareness and visibility around political and social injustices, to celebrate and encourage a consciousness, and most definitely, to Represent!

The mission of the Nuyorican Poets Cafe is to create a multi-cultural venue that both nurtures artists and exhibits a variety of artistic works. Without limitation, we are dedicated to providing a stage for the arts with access for the widest public.

Performance Space 122 is a multi-disciplinary arts center dedicated to finding, developing and presenting new artistic creations from a diversity of cultures and points of view. P.S. 122 provides emerging and mid-career artists an environment that encourages exploration, innovation and risk-taking.

Ricanstruction Netwerk is an autonomous agit-prop assault army of anti-authoritarian (direct) action artists and agitators aligned against assimilation, acceptability, apathy and avarice.

The Alternative Museum furthers its 30-year mission by expanding its audience through the internet and by supporting the development of photography, web-based and digital art. Please note that this is an internet-based museum. There is no physical space to visit.

The Kitchen is a non-profit, interdisciplinary organization that provides innovative artists working in the media, literary, and performing arts with exhibition and performance opportunities to create and present new work.
