in New York are generally expensive and rooms are frequently scarce, often
requiring reservations weeks, even months, in advance. The list below
is far from definitive; it concentrates primarily on hotels, hostels and
bed-and-breakfasts within walking distance of the Brecht Forum, and on
low-cost establishments in other neighborhoods. Caveat emptor!
